Stephen, and his wife Claire, with care and compassion have served the community for many years and can take care of your arrangements.

Our intention is always to make funeral planning easier when the time comes. Throughout the process, we will be in regular contact, ensuring any questions are answered–and more importantly to lend an ear and ensure we can make the funeral as special as your loved one and their memory.

Planning the funeral of a loved one is a difficult and often painful time, but with our experienced and caring family team, we can guide you with support and advice at every step. We can arrange every aspect of the funeral service, helping you to elect a minister or celebrant while taking into account any specific wishes you may have.

Our Chapels of Rest

At our Chapels of Rest, in Ludlow, Stephen and Claire, alongside their son Adam, have cultivated a quiet and comfortable space where you can spend as much time as you need with your loved one. You are welcome to view the spaces before you have arranged the service. The services can be as simple or complex, religious or otherwise, as you wish–the family here is dedicated to honouring the long years of love and joy that you and your loved one shared.

Direct Cremation

This is an option which includes the fee payable to the Crematorium, a simple coffin, transport to the Crematorium, medi-cal fees, and our own bearers. A direct cremation service is unattended, however if you would like a small personal service, we would be happy to arrange one at our chapel for you.

Traditional Funeral

A traditional funeral includes all fees, a simple veneered coffin, transport to the Church and/or Crematorium. Any aspect of a traditional funeral can be tailored to your specific requirements, and you will be consulted at every step of the way regarding any additional costs.

It is not unusual for the family to take part in the funeral service, as bearers on the day or to be part of the service in the form of a tribute, reading or poem.

Ashes Burial/scatter service

Services designed for the burial or scattering of ashes we take care of the organisation of the burial grounds and accompanying documentation so you don't need have to.

Cremation

Our cremation services cover flexible options tailored to your wishes. Cremations can include the complete service or direct cremation for an unattended funeral. The burial or scattering of ashes is for many the most meaningful, intimate way to say the final goodbye to their loved ones as their memory is committed to the wind or the earth, infinite and unerring.
